Day 3 (of 4)
Because so many people couldn't get the Javascript/Flash to work on the webquest, I extended the deadline to TONIGHT. You still have other work to do today, so don't get distracted!
In your book Night, read the preface and foreword. You WILL have a quiz over this material tomorrow.
Preface: an introduction to a book, typically stating its subject, scope, or aims. Typically written by the author to give you some background.
Foreword: a short introduction to a book, typically by a person other than the author. Usually this is to tell you the impact of the book, or why it's relevant and important.
I then passed out a guided Cornell notes worksheet on propaganda. You'll complete the notes using the information in the Google Classroom over break; it's due MONDAY when we get back. Remember for Cornell notes you finish the notes portion on the right, then on the left side column, create questions that your notes on the RIGHT side can answer.
Today's assignment:
REGULAR notes over more background on the Holocaust and WWII. They don't need to be Cornell style unless you need a set of Cornell notes (AVID).
Complete the notes using the information in the Google Classroom assignment (Slides). These notes are due TOMORROW at the start of class.
