Warmup: completed vocab chapter 13. It will be collected tomorrow and you'll have a quiz.
Period 3 also turned in Night chapters 9+ questions. Period 1, this will be collected tomorrow along with your new homework.
Today we read Elie Wiesel's speech in Washington, D.C. called "The Perils of Indifference." There are six homework questions about this reading. They are located at the end of the speech on the link above.
After reading the text, you worked to fill out a SOAPS-LT chart about the speech. You had the rest of class to work on this one page worksheet.
Both the homework questions AND the SOAPS-LT chart will be due tomorrow.
Homework
- Finish the questions on "The Perils of Indifference." Due tomorrow at the start of class.
- Complete your SOAPS-LT chart worksheet on "The Perils of Indifference."
- Start on your semester 1 final essay, including finding some research or evidence that supports the prompt you selected.
Remember: if you are absent, you're expected to finish reading what we read in class on your own. The PDF of the book is linked above so you can still read even if you don't have your book with you.
