Chapters 7-8 Questions
- What are the “gravediggers” really doing?
- What happens when food is thrown into the cattle wagon Elie is in? Describe.
- Why does the crematory no longer make an “impression” upon the Holocaust prisoners? (pg. 104)
- What is wrong with Eliezer’s father?
- In chapter 8 we see Eliezer is once again angry. Explain the reason for his anger and why it is justified.
- Explain whether or not you agree with the head of the block and what he told Eliezer on page 110?
- Explain why many readers would be shocked at Eliezer reactions to his father’s death.
- Finish the questions on Chapters 7-8. Due tomorrow at the start of class.
- Start on your semester 1 final essay, including finding some research or evidence that supports the prompt you selected.
