Lots of stuff happening this week!
- Yesterday you decided on your own article deadlines; you have to stick to these deadlines.
- Think of a pitch for your editorial article (EVERYONE has to do one).
- Notes on textbook Chapter 21 (due Friday).
Notes:
Check Google Classroom for the chapter 21 notes (or get a physical textbook from the cabinet). This chapter is about advertising for a school newspaper program. We don’t currently have advertisers; but we could!
Remember, you don’t need to write down the models. Due FRIDAY at the start of class.
Important Information!!!!
SENIORS: you have to complete THREE articles by Saturday, May 25. You must have at least one campus life and one editorial – this editorial MUST be about school-related issues. No exceptions.
All other grades: you have to complete FOUR articles by Sunday, June 2. You must have at least one campus life and one editorial – this editorial MUST be about school-related issues.
EVERYONE selected their dates using the Form posted in Google Classroom yesterday. Now you need to start brainstorming about what you'll write your articles about. Remember, you must have an editorial about a school-related topic!
Article reminders:
- Articles should be around 400-500 words (not including photos or the headline/byline!).
- Reminder that ALL articles must include interviews/quotes/evidence, and the majority of articles will be written in third person.
- Must include relevant photos or images/graphics in good quality that YOU OWN.
Homework
