Day 5
Today we went over your pitch assignment from yesterday and then you turned it in.
Next we discussed how article assignments and your story pitches will work for now. This semester, you will be graded on completing 3 weekly approved articles per month (in addition to other work and required writing assigned by ME).
You cannot write all three articles in one week. They must be spread out. They must all cover different categories and topics. You must pitch article ideas to me in order to get your article approved.
To pitch your story idea, you will answer a post in Google Classroom. The post will go UP on Sunday, and will close BY the start of class on Monday. During class on Monday, I will approve or question or deny your story request.
If your story is denied, you have until the end of class to create a new one or fix it to be approved. If I don’t approve by class on Tuesday, you will be assigned a topic by ME. Because your original pitch might be denied, please think of a backup article idea.
The rest of class you were given time to talk with your teams, and discuss what category you may want to do, and how you will pitch your idea to me. Forgot what team you're on? Check Google Classroom!
Start writing up your pitch; you will have to submit it to me on Classroom over the long weekend! (Due by NOON on MONDAY). When we come back on Tuesday I will have your articles approved or assigned.
