Day 2
Warmup: New list on Vocabulary.com! Your new list is research terms vocab. Remember, you'll have a quiz on Friday!
I passed out your tentative course schedule for next year. If you wish to make changes, complete the form and turn into the counseling department BY Friday! If you don’t need to make any changes, just keep the form for reference.
This is your last chance to make any changes. Counselors expect you to commit to your choices before leaving for summer break. When you return in August, scheduling is already set so there will only be emergency changes this year.
Focus on course interest, not taking classes with friends or having a specific teacher!
Then you took out your notes from yesterday and continued on them while we watched an episode of Brain Games, which shows that people are so willing to conform to what others are doing, that sometimes we do stupid or crazy things!
After watching, you took a quiz over the bystander concepts we've been learning about. You were able to use your notes before turning them in to me.
I also posted an extra credit assignment today in Google Classroom called "Extra Credit: Emotional Intelligence." The assignment is to listen over Daniel Goleman’s NPR broadcast (I linked the transcript) and then answer questions on Doc (also posted in Google Classroom). The extra credit is due tonight.
